It’s time for
We rely on our court system to be fair and impartial—to decide cases based on the law, not what politicians might want them to do. But that system is under attack here in Tennessee.
Politicians upset by how a judge ruled in an election case tried to remove her from the bench. And when that didn’t work, they rewrote the law to change which judges get to hear election—and many other—cases.
“It’s really scary to think the courts are supposed to have your back, and they’re supposed to be nonpartisan and independent, but our state leadership and our elected officials can then retaliate against a judge for ruling.”
